Upgrading to Release 1.1 from Release 1

1. Uninstall the old release.
  • This will need to be done once for each of the three installation components (PS, TFS, and the Connector).
  • If you are running a "2 box" configuration with the Connector running on the TFS server, then you'll need to run the uninstall twice on the TFS server.
  • If you want to preserve the Connector data, clear the 'Uninstall Database' checkbox. There aren't any database schema changes in this release.
2. Re-install the application according to the Setup instructions included in the Documentation folder. Please note that there are FAQ's listed on the Connector Homepage related to Setup that should be helpful.

  • Installation Note:
    • Some users have reported that their database is not properly installed after performing an upgrade. If this occurs for you, run the ConnectorDB.sql script and PS2007ProviderDb.sql scripts to properly create the database. These scripts need to be run using SQLCmd since they are DBPro scripts and contain variable replacements.
  • Here is an example command line to run create the Connector database:
  • sqlcmd -S .\SQLEXPRESS -i ConnectorDB.sql

I noticed fields you need to add in Project like AutoSync with External System and others changed, the old version being "Auto Sync". I had to add the new columns and get rid of the old ones in order to get my old project to work. It worked like a charm afterwards tho. Good job on this release.
